Saurabh, aka Xplorab—a young, innovative photographer and filmmaker—is based in Vancouver, Canada. Driven by a unique curiosity, Saurabh’s journey began early, as he explored the wonders of technology and the world around him. At just sixteen, he developed an Android app, which earned him the nickname "Young Einstein" from Google for his impressive technical skill and ambition.
Life has not been without its challenges. Saurabh faced Nephrotic Syndrome three times, once as a child and then throughout his teenage years. This experience deepened his appreciation for life’s fleeting moments, inspiring him to capture and preserve them through photography. Early influences like Discovery and National Geographic encouraged him to explore and connect with the world, shaping his artistic vision.
Saurabh pursued his passion academically, studying Arts, Journalism, and Professional Photography. He gained hands-on experience in Delhi, working for notable publications like Zee Media, Teheka Today News, Travel Secrets, and Creature Companion. He even led street photo walks, capturing the soul of the city. Recognizing the need for a brand that resonated with his identity as an explorer, he coined the name "Xplorab"—a blend of “explore” and “rab,” a tribute to his belief that life is a divine journey.
His move to Canada marked a new chapter, with studies in professional photography leading to a mastery of studio portraiture and commercial photography. Embarking on a cross-country drive from Halifax to Vancouver, Saurabh captured Canada’s diverse landscapes, using an Insta360 camera, DSLR, drone, and phone to provide viewers with a multidimensional experience.
Through his projects like IDrive and ITrail, he’s created virtual experiences for those who cannot access these beautiful places themselves. His work preserves moments that might otherwise fade, connecting people to the vibrant and subtle beauties of life.
